Great Faith

Great Faith. Having faith takes courage because you must let go of your control and everything you think you may know to surrender it all to Him. Trusting that He will come through for you even if you have no idea how that could even begin to be possible. Just like the centurion did when he asked Jesus to heal his servant. Although the centurion knew he was unworthy to reach out to Jesus, he knew only Jesus can save his servant from death.

The centurion displayed “Great Faith” by surrendering all his trust and believing Jesus was enough to heal and deliver his servant from death. The faith that the centurion displayed by saying: “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should enter my roof. Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to come to You. But say the word, and my servant will be healed.” The centurion recognized Jesus’ authority to overcome sickness and death acknowledging His power and surrendering his control. The centurion’s great faith caused the gates of heaven to shake, his confidence left Jesus marveling to say: “I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel.” Jesus’ healing power is accessible to us through our unshakable faith. Now, will He find great faith in you?

Luke 7:1-10

Prayer Declaration

Jesus, thank you that you are my healer, my strong tower, my fortress, my shelter when I am weak. Thank you that through my faith in you I have access to your healing power. Thank you that your will is to heal me just like you did the centurion’s servant. In the middle of my darkness, in the midst of all my fear, I pray you filled me with supernatural courage to trust, believe, and grow in great faith in YOU to set me free to receive my healing today. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen!
