My Death is Imminent
My Death is Imminent. Father, I know my departure from this earth is just a matter of time. I may not have done everything You told me to do; nevertheless, I ask that You extend mercy to me as You did the thief who died on the cross alongside Jesus (Luke 23:42-43). Thank You fo the salvation of my soul through Christ’s crucifixion, burial, and resurrection.
Father, I find comfort in knowing there will be no more death, or sorrow, or crying, or pain in the world to come (Revelation 21:4). Because I have asked You to be my Lord and Savior, I look forward to that blessed day without fear.
Father, do not let my dying be in vain. Rather, use my death to draw people to You. Let this be a time when they reflect on their own mortality and commit to pursuing Your purpose for their lives.
Finally, I pray that before heaven’s doors close, my entire family will say yes to Your will for their lives and that we will all rejoice around Your throne together. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
