Seed of Love

Seed of Love. Christmas is my favorite season! I embrace it with much joy and happiness. Ever since I was a little girl, I would remember how happy it made me to put up my little tree, wrap presents for my loved ones, and eat the typical bread made in Peru for the season. Oh how much I loved Christmas! But you see then I didn’t know what Christmas meant other than we gather with our family and friends to remember the birth of Jesus, the Son of God; and although I understood from an early age why Jesus was born, it never really touched me as it did four years ago.

You see, four years ago I met Jesus for the first time and I fell in love!! I had no idea that I had been living my life without Him. Not knowing of His passionate relentless love for you and me. He was born with one purpose and that is to save us.. to save the world. We received by the grace of God an uneven exchange.. A GIFT of LOVE. An unmeasurable, everlasting, radical, overpowering, reckless, fearless, hopeful, pure, humble, holy, unconditional… Perfect LOVE! Jesus was born so you and I can live eternally. Wow… What a thought!

Let’s not fall trapped into the noise of the world during this season but better yet surrender to this beautiful gift, this perfect gift of Love.

A Christmas Prayer… A gift of love

Heavenly Father, as we gather with our family and friends to celebrate the birth of your loving son, I pray that your spirit of peace, joy and love would reign over every home. May this gift of love given to us by your grace lead our hearts into your everlasting truth. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6.
